IT System Engineer – Naval Vessel Support

About the role

We are seeking an experienced IT System Engineer to install, configure, integrate and maintain complex IT systems on naval vessels. The position involves hardware inspections, software deployment, network setup and on‑site technical support for customers and project teams.

Key responsibilities

• Perform hardware inspections and install IT equipment aboard naval ships.
• Configure, deploy and maintain software applications and network infrastructure (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, routing, switching).
• Verify system operation and integration with other onboard equipment, supporting commissioning and acceptance tests.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of IT hardware and software.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to hardware, operating systems, databases and networks.
• Provide on‑site technical assistance to customers and project stakeholders.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation and service reports.
• Collaborate with engineering, project and customer teams to meet technical requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, IT, Telecommunications, Electrical/Electronics or equivalent technical qualification with hands‑on experience.
• Proven experience in installation, configuration, integration, testing or maintenance of complex IT systems, preferably in field service or technical support.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary, international teams.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel domestically and internationally, including work aboard naval vessels.
