IT System Expert – Red Hat OpenShift & RHEL Specialist

About the role

Ericsson is looking for a senior IT System Expert to lead the design, deployment, and lifecycle management of Red Hat OpenShift and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments. You will ensure platform stability, security, and performance while supporting containerized application delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and support Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) clusters.
• Install, configure, patch, and troubleshoot RHEL 7/8/9 servers.
• Perform health monitoring, capacity planning, performance tuning, and security hardening of OpenShift and Linux platforms.
• Manage OpenShift operators, routes, projects, networking, storage classes, persistent volumes, and image registry.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and containerized application deployments.
• Automate tasks using Ansible and Bash/Shell scripts.
• Produce technical documentation, SOPs, architecture diagrams, and runbooks.
• Participate in incident, problem, change, and release management processes.
• Provide Level 3 support and act as escalation point for OpenShift and Linux issues.

Required profile

• 8‑10+ years of IT infrastructure administration experience.
• Strong hands‑on expertise with Red Hat OpenShift (OCP 4.x) and RHEL.
• Deep understanding of Kubernetes architecture and container orchestration.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex Linux, networking, storage, and container issues.
• Experience collaborating with infrastructure, application, database, and security teams.
