IT Systems & Support Engineer – Power Plant (Arabic Speaker)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced IT Systems and Support Engineer to join a leading energy company in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on maintaining and enhancing the IT infrastructure of a power and desalination plant, ensuring high availability and security for all users.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, install, configure, maintain, upgrade and administer servers, phones, and network equipment.
• Troubleshoot IT incidents, identify root causes, test and implement corrective actions, including after‑hours support to minimise downtime.
• Assess end‑user requirements, procure hardware and software, and ensure timely delivery of solutions.
• Administer and support Microsoft Exchange, SharePoint, Domain Controllers and central printing servers.
• Maintain high safety standards in line with QHSE procedures and participate in safety tours.
• Apply security patches and upgrades to protect servers and end‑user devices.
• Enforce IT policies and procedures across the organisation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field.
• Fluent in Arabic and English.
• Minimum 5 years of IT engineering experience, or at least 3 years in a power‑plant or desalination‑plant environment.
• Relevant certifications and proven experience with MAXIMO.
