IT Systems & Support Engineer – Power Plant Experience

About the role

We are seeking an experienced IT Systems and Support Engineer to join a leading energy company in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on maintaining and enhancing IT infrastructure for a power and desalination plant, ensuring high availability and safety compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, install, configure, maintain, upgrade and administer the organization’s systems, phones and network.
• Troubleshoot IT‑related issues, investigate root causes, test and implement solutions, including out‑of‑hours support to minimise downtime.
• Assess end‑user needs, procure hardware and software, and manage inventory.
• Implement, administer and troubleshoot Microsoft Exchange, SharePoint, Domain Controllers and Central Printing Servers.
• Maintain high safety standards in line with QHSE procedures and participate in safety tours.
• Ensure server and end‑user security by applying the latest patches and updates.
• Review, adhere to and enforce IT policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology.
• Fluent in Arabic and English.
• Minimum 5 years of IT engineering experience, or at least 3 years in a power/desalination plant environment.
• Relevant certifications and proven experience with MAXIMO.
