Java Software Engineer (Contract, Yearly Renewable)

About the role

Dautom, an IT consulting and technology services organisation, is recruiting a Java Software Engineer in Sharjah on a yearly-renewable contract. The role sits within a client engagement with a globally recognised industry leader, where Dautom acts as a trusted IT consulting partner and connects the client with talent to support its strategic initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals such as algorithms, data structures, object-oriented design, design patterns, software architecture, database design and UML.
• Experience with Java Spring Boot and Oracle databases.
• Experience building and consuming SOAP and REST web services.
• Experience applying API security techniques such as JWT, Spring Security and OAuth2.
• Working knowledge of Linux systems.

Required skills

• Java, Spring Boot and Oracle databases.
• SAP and REST web services; API security (JWT, Spring Security, OAuth2).
• Oracle WebLogic and Apache Tomcat as application servers.
• Git and BitBucket for version control.
• SOA and microservices architectures.
• Plus: data security and encryption algorithms (RSA, AES), Oracle Fusion Middleware (OSB, Oracle BPM, Oracle UCM).
