Junior Accountant

About the role

Best Option Trading is looking for a detail‑oriented and organized Junior Accountant to join its team in Dubai. This position offers an excellent opportunity for accounting professionals eager to develop their careers in a fast‑paced trading environment while gaining hands‑on experience with daily financial operations. The successful candidate will support the finance department by maintaining accurate records, managing payables and receivables, and assisting with VAT‑related tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily accounting entries and maintain accurate financial transactions.
• Manage invoices, receipts, payments, purchase records, and sales documentation.
• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) activities.
• Reconcile bank statements and company accounts regularly.
• Follow up with customers regarding outstanding payments.
• Assist with supplier payments and account reconciliations.
• Support UAE VAT calculations and preparation of VAT returns.
• Assist with month‑end closing activities and basic financial reporting.
• Coordinate with customers, suppliers, and internal departments on financial matters.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
• 1–2 years of accounting experience, preferably with UAE accounting exposure.
• Previous experience in trading or general trading companies is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work both independently and within a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, ERP or similar accounting software.
• Knowledge of UAE VAT regulations.
• Inventory and stock accounting experience.
• Familiarity with payroll/WPS processes.
