About the role

Jumeirah is looking for a motivated Junior Baker to join the bakery team at Madinat Jumeirah Resort. This is a full‑time position within a world‑class luxury hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing dough for various baked goods, following recipes and portioning ingredients accurately.
• Measure and weigh ingredients, mix dough and prepare batters according to recipes while maintaining quality standards.
• Shape dough, form loaves, mold pastries and assemble baked products using established techniques.
• Conduct visual inspections of baked items for texture, colour and consistency before packaging or serving.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bakery area, adhering to food safety and hygiene protocols.
• Support the Head Baker in menu development, suggesting new recipes and product innovations.

Required profile

• Completion of a culinary arts program or vocational training in baking and pastry arts.
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing and speaking).
• Good understanding of hygiene, health and safety standards.
• 3–5 years of experience in a bakery or kitchen environment, preferably focused on baking.
