Junior Consultant Neurologist – Government Healthcare Facility

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Consultant Neurologist to join a Government Healthcare Facility in Dubai. The role involves delivering comprehensive neurological assessment, diagnosis and management for adult patients across acute and chronic conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and treat patients with acute and chronic neurological disorders, including stroke, seizures, epilepsy, headaches, movement disorders, multiple sclerosis, neuropathies, neuromuscular diseases and dementia.
• Manage neurological emergencies and provide inpatient and outpatient consultations.
• Order and interpret laboratory tests, neuroimaging, EEG, EMG/NCS and other diagnostic investigations.
• Collaborate with emergency medicine, internal medicine, neurosurgery, rehabilitation, radiology and other specialties in multidisciplinary teams.
• Document clinical findings accurately and ensure compliance with UAE healthcare regulations and facility policies.
• Participate in clinical audits, quality‑improvement projects and service development initiatives.
• Supervise junior physicians, contribute to teaching activities and be on‑call for weekends and public holidays as required.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS, MBChB or equivalent) from a recognised institution.
• Postgraduate qualification in Neurology.
• Relevant post‑specialisation clinical experience appropriate for a Junior Consultant level.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills.
