Junior Procurement Officer – UAE National

About the role

We are seeking a young Emirati professional to join our procurement team in Abu Dhabi. The Junior Procurement Officer will support the end‑to‑end sourcing and purchasing processes for Etihad, ensuring compliance with governance, policies and aviation standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist Category Managers with sourcing execution, including requirements definition, RFI/RFP preparation, award, and contract administration.
• Execute tactical and low‑value procurement using self‑service channels such as P‑Cards, managed catalogues and guided buying from master service agreements.
• Process purchase requisitions into purchase orders, maintain accurate records in SAP and Ariba, and generate related reports.
• Perform post‑contract activities, including consumption tracking, performance reporting and liaison with Accounts Payable.
• Ensure all procurement activities adhere to Etihad’s policies, governance and compliance requirements.

Required profile

• UAE national with a diploma‑level qualification.
• Minimum three years of experience in procurement operations and sourcing, preferably in aviation or indirect categories.
• Strong analytical mindset, proactive attitude and comfort with using digital tools.
• Good understanding of P2P processes and procurement best practices.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with SAP.
• Hands‑on experience with Ariba.
