Junior Project Engineer

About the role

Our client, a water‑treatment company operating in Sharjah, is looking for a Junior Project Engineer to support the planning, coordination and execution of engineering projects. The role will assist the project team in managing schedules, resources and budgets while ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project plans covering scope, schedule and budget, and allocate personnel, equipment and materials.
• Monitor project progress, track milestones and control variables to keep projects on time and within budget.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams to communicate requirements, resolve issues and maintain strong relationships.
• Provide technical guidance to site electricians and technicians and address field‑level technical problems.
• Ensure construction activities meet project specifications, quality standards and regulatory requirements, implementing quality‑control measures.
• Identify risks, assess impact and propose mitigation actions; support corrective actions for delays or technical challenges.
• Manage changes to scope, schedule and cost, maintaining proper documentation and stakeholder alignment.
• Prepare accurate project documentation, progress reports and contract administration support, and conduct project close‑out activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 + years experience in water‑treatment, construction or oil & gas projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
• Proficiency with project‑management tools, Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
• Strong understanding of project planning, risk and stakeholder management, and contract administration.
• Ability to produce clear documentation, reports and maintain governance discipline.
