Junior Research Scientist – Hardware Security (EECE)

About the role

The Design for Excellence Lab at NYU Abu Dhabi is hiring a Junior Research Scientist to work under the supervision of Dr. Ozgur Sinanoglu on hardware security projects. The role involves conducting world‑class research, publishing results in top‑tier venues, and collaborating with government and industry partners.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze research problems, design, implement, and test hardware security solutions.
• Write and submit research articles to leading conferences and journals.
• Present findings at conferences, workshops and seminars.
• Publish work in top‑tier conferences and journals.
• Work closely with collaborators such as government entities and companies to deliver groundbreaking results.

Required profile

• BSc or MSc in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Strong analytical, design and coding abilities.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Willingness to take initiative and work independently or as part of a team.
• Typically a graduate with a Master’s degree and less than five years of research experience (or a Bachelor’s degree with relevant experience).
