Junior Software Engineer

About the role

Pathos Communications is a PR consultancy that builds AI‑driven outreach and internal tools. As a Junior Software Engineer you will work closely with the CTO to turn product ideas into specifications and guide AI agents that generate code.

Key responsibilities

• Translate loose product concepts into precise PRDs and technical specs.
• Direct AI coding agents (e.g., Claude Code) to build features for Pressella and internal tools, including writing prompts, reviewing output, testing and shipping.
• Develop and maintain the infrastructure that orchestrates AI‑generated software, such as agent workflows, evaluation pipelines, guardrails and CI/CD.
• Ensure code quality by reviewing code you didn’t write, debugging production issues and improving system safety.

Required profile

• Strong fundamentals in Python or TypeScript and ability to understand unfamiliar code.
• Hands‑on experience using AI coding assistants (Claude Code, Cursor, etc.) beyond simple autocomplete.
• Clear written communication for specs, commit messages and incident notes.
• Comfort with cloud environments (GCP preferred) and Git; familiarity with TDD or willingness to learn.
• Based in Dubai or willing to relocate (visa sponsorship provided).
