About the role

Join Anantara Downtown Dubai as a Junior Sous Chef Pastry, supporting the restaurant chef in delivering high‑quality pastry offerings. You will work in a dynamic, luxury hotel environment, ensuring smooth kitchen operations and upholding the brand’s culinary standards.

Key responsibilities

• Organise daily activities within the restaurant kitchen, ensuring safe, efficient, and profitable operations.
• Assist in developing cuisine concepts and maintaining consistent presentation standards.
• Stay informed about local market trends and suppliers, recommending seasonal menu adjustments.
• Follow Anantara’s food preparation and presentation guidelines to guarantee consistent quality.
• Maintain rigorous food safety, sanitation, and outlet safety practices, including proper storage, dating, and rotation.
• Manage assets and facilities of the outlet, ensuring optimal condition.
• Participate in departmental training and support team members in delivering excellent guest service.
• Promote positive inter‑departmental communication and cooperation.

Required profile

• Passion for hospitality and a strong interest in pastry arts.
• Ability to work closely with the restaurant chef and kitchen team.
• Basic knowledge of local suppliers and seasonal product availability.
• Commitment to adhering to food safety, sanitation, and safety standards.
