Junior Systems Administrator

About the role

We are seeking a Junior Systems Administrator to support daily operations, monitoring, and maintenance of our IT infrastructure. This entry‑level position is ideal for candidates eager to develop their skills in a DevOps‑oriented environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the administration and operation of servers, applications, and system platforms.
• Monitor system availability, performance, and logs; respond to alerts and incidents.
• Provide Level 1/Level 2 support for system and application issues.
• Support backup and basic disaster‑recovery activities.
• Help with system updates, patching, and scheduled maintenance.
• Execute basic scripts or tools to automate repetitive tasks.
• Run simple database queries for validation, reporting, or troubleshooting.
• Follow defined procedures for incident, problem, and change management.
• Document system configurations, scripts, and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with senior administrators, developers, and support teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering or a related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in system administration, IT support, or a technical role.
• Willingness to work in shifts.

Required skills

• Basic programming knowledge (Python, Java, C#, JavaScript).
• Familiarity with Linux and/or Windows Server environments.
• Understanding of system administration fundamentals (services, users, permissions).
• Basic networking concepts (IP addressing, DNS, ports, firewalls).
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and backup concepts.
• Scripting skills: PowerShell, Bash, Python.
• Basic SQL for querying and data validation.
