Key Account Associate – Ophthalmology (UAE)

About the role

Astellas is seeking a Key Account Associate to drive sales and strategic partnerships for its Ophthalmology portfolio across the UAE. This permanent, field‑based position can be based in Dubai or Abu Dhabi and offers a hybrid working model.

Key responsibilities

• Own account‑level business planning, forecasting, budgeting and performance metrics for the ophthalmology portfolio.
• Engage payer stakeholders, procurement and planning teams within key accounts to shape access and overcome reimbursement challenges.
• Organise and execute high‑impact meetings and clinical discussions with key opinion leaders and healthcare organisations.
• Meet sales targets, navigate competition, accelerate new product launches and ensure on‑label utilisation.
• Utilise Veeva CRM and Salesforce for customer segmentation, omnichannel tracking and data‑informed decision‑making.

Required profile

• Proven MNC pharmaceutical field‑sales experience in the UAE, with a track record of launching new therapies.
• Specific experience in ophthalmology is required.
• Fluency in English and Arabic (written and spoken).
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
