Key Account Manager - Hematology (Gulf)

About the role

Bristol Myers Squibb is hiring a Key Account Manager for its Hematology business in the Gulf region, based in Dubai. The role ensures that BMS hematology products reach the right patients at the right time through a comprehensive account management approach, driving demand in line with the product label and liaising with internal and external stakeholders until the product reaches the account.

Key responsibilities

• Promote BMS specialty care brands in hematology by delivering scientific messages to healthcare professionals.
• Drive sales of BMS hematology brands across Gulf markets and define and prioritize customer targets through profiling and segmentation.
• Build strong partnerships with pharmacists, hospital store managers and purchasing, finance and supply departments, positioning BMS as a strategic partner.
• Develop account business plans, support formulary enlistment and coordinate with access, medical and marketing teams to scale product penetration and ensure availability to prescribers.
• Track and report on product performance (monthly consumption, closing stocks) and analyse data to forecast orders and manage stock with minimum expiry.
• Manage the ordering cycle, local purchasing and tenders, advise on price and strategy, and gather market intelligence to mitigate risks such as price cuts and competitor threats.
• Liaise with the local distributor and internal departments to ensure timely stock availability and PO submission, and support pre-launch and launch activities of new products.
• Work to the highest standards of integrity and compliance with BMS business conduct and ethics.

Required profile

• Pharmacy or medicine degree.
• At least 5 years of experience in a multinational pharmaceutical company, including specialty care brands.
• Hematology experience strongly preferred; UAE market experience is a must, other Gulf experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent command of English; basic knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Travel required, varying by geography.
