Kitchen & Laundry Technician – Anantara Downtown Dubai

About the role

The Kitchen and Laundry Technician is responsible for the operation, maintenance and repair of all kitchen and laundry plant equipment at Anantara Downtown Dubai. This full‑time position ensures that all mechanical, refrigeration and air‑conditioning systems run efficiently while complying with HACCP and health‑and‑safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and service kitchen and laundry equipment, chillers, air‑conditioning, chilled water systems, pumps and boilers.
• Inspect, test and repair refrigeration units, walk‑in coolers, freezers and ovens.
• Carry out preventive‑maintenance (PPM) checks and be on call for equipment emergencies.
• Manage air‑conditioning and refrigeration system servicing and documentation.
• Support the hotel’s energy‑conservation and sustainability programmes.
• Supervise tool issue, ensure safe return and oversee external contractors, including safety inductions and record‑keeping.
• Accept deliveries, monitor utility readings and maintain up‑to‑date health‑and‑safety and fire‑team records.
• Participate in on‑the‑job training and ensure compliance with departmental standards.
