L2 Application Operations

About the role

We are looking for an experienced L2 Application Operations professional to ensure the health and performance of our customer‑facing digital services. You will act as a technical escalation point for the Product Support team and help drive continuous improvement in a fast‑paced e‑commerce environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maximise application uptime, performance and user satisfaction.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and work with Product Owners and Development teams to prioritize fixes.
• Adopt a data‑driven, customer‑centric approach to operational decisions.
• Coordinate with technical teams to reduce recurring incidents and technical toil.
• Participate actively in incident response, categorisation and resolution.
• Mentor junior colleagues and provide technical guidance.
• Plan and implement improvements in hosting and observability to reduce MTTA and MTTR.
• Participate in on‑call rotation and occasional shift work as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT operations or application support.
• Hands‑on experience with Java and Node.js applications.
• Strong focus on observability and experience with APM tools.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Understanding of security best practices such as PCI‑DSS.
• Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum or Kanban).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
