L2 Systems Engineer – Onsite & Cloud Operations

About the role

We are seeking an experienced L2 Systems Engineer to provide onsite and cloud operations support for a client environment in Abu Dhabi. The role combines hands‑on work in server rooms and network closets with administration of Microsoft 365, Azure identity services and core network functions, acting as the onsite "eyes and hands" for remote L3 engineers and architects.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine physical inspections of server rooms, network closets and datacenter facilities, checking rack health, power, cooling, UPS/PDU status and cabling.
• Perform hardware troubleshooting, component replacements and rack‑and‑stack activities for Dell PowerEdge, HPE ProLiant, Cisco and similar enterprise equipment.
• Provide Level 2 onsite desktop support, diagnosing escalated issues with laptops, peripherals, applications, LAN, Wi‑Fi, VPN and authentication.
• Administer Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business and Microsoft Entra ID, handling user provisioning, licensing and service health monitoring.
• Manage Active Directory objects, security groups, OU structures and Group Policy, supporting user onboarding and off‑boarding.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure, datacenter operations and cloud administration.
• Proven ability to work hands‑on with physical hardware and to administer Microsoft cloud and identity platforms.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the capacity to act as the onsite liaison for remote engineering teams.
