Laboratory Technician – Powder Coating

About the role

The RD Laboratory Technician supports the Powder Coating business by conducting experiments designed by the Laboratory Manager to develop and match colors requested by sales teams. The role also maintains the shade panel library and ensures timely delivery of panels to customers and sales representatives.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out experiments such as color matching, product improvement, raw material evaluation, and cost optimisation.
• Prepare powder samples for customer line trials.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and keep the lab area neat and clean.
• Manage the panel library and dispatch panels to customers or sales representatives promptly.
• Provide sample panels to sales upon request.

• Strong ability to plan and execute experiments using laboratory resources.
• Capability to work safely with various equipment and follow safety rules.
• Good written and spoken English communication skills.
