Land Surveyor

About the role

Join AECOM as a Land Surveyor to support infrastructure projects across Abu Dhabi. You will work under the guidance of the Resident Engineer, performing field surveys, establishing control points, and ensuring data accuracy for construction activities.

Key responsibilities

• Read and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, and health‑and‑safety requirements.
• Perform survey work, establish primary horizontal and vertical control points, and develop data from photogrammetric records.
• Record measurements, rod readings, and calculations accurately in field books.
• Verify survey data accuracy, complete traverse closures, and conduct bench circuit checks.
• Coordinate with the contractor’s surveyor on priorities, schedules, and setting‑out verification.
• Report discrepancies or technical issues to the team leader and maintain equipment calibration.
• Document findings, sketches, and notes to certify work performed and liaise with engineering, architectural, and client teams.

Required profile

• Minimum of 1 month of surveying experience.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings, specifications, and safety documents.
• Attention to detail and strong record‑keeping skills.
