Land Surveyor (Roads)

About the role

Parsons Corporation is seeking an experienced Land Surveyor to join its roads and infrastructure team in Abu Dhabi. You will work on‑site as part of a survey crew, delivering accurate field surveys and geodetic calculations for road, bridge and infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Perform land and field surveys, including geodetic calculations.
• Interface with clients and contractors to verify survey requirements.
• Complete surveying tasks on schedule, within man‑hour and cost budgets.
• Check setting‑out, levels, and service locations to ensure protection.
• Prepare sketches, maintain field books, and record calculations.
• Assist in the preparation of as‑built drawings.
• Observe and promote site safety procedures.
• Perform any additional duties related to the position as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in land surveying, setting‑out, and structural inspection on roads, infrastructure and bridge projects.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Commitment to safe work practices and ability to work collaboratively on site.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD software.
• Experience using survey software, total stations, data collectors and GPS equipment.
• Ability to perform geodetic calculations.
• Knowledge of construction sequences and standard industry procedures.
