Landscaping Engineer – Hospital Grounds Management

About the role

The Hospital is seeking a Landscaping Engineer to oversee all ground‑keeping activities across its medical campus in Al Ain. The role combines supervision of contractor staff, budget control, and ensuring that the gardens and outdoor spaces meet the hospital’s aesthetic, safety and functional standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise all landscaping staff employed by the contractor and verify daily attendance.
• Check, verify and approve BOQ items and invoices related to landscaping works.
• Conduct site inspections and audits, document findings and provide feedback to the Building Maintenance Manager.
• Ensure contractor compliance with contract conditions, obligations and standards.
• Prepare and monitor yearly grounds‑keeping budget and monthly performance reports.
• Develop and approve landscaping plans, designs, material selections and irrigation schemes for new areas.
• Coordinate with hospital departments, external stakeholders and the municipality for plant procurement and project support.
• Manage CAFM requests, schedule preventive maintenance and follow‑up on irrigation system performance.
• Identify and resolve issues affecting the quality or safety of the hospital’s outdoor environment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 2–4 years of experience in landscaping, grounds maintenance or a similar construction environment.
