Laundry Attendant – Abu Dhabi Edition

About the role

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for operating and monitoring washing, dry‑cleaning and drying equipment in a hotel environment, ensuring all linen and garments are cleaned to the highest standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor washing, dry‑cleaning and drying machinery, adding chemicals and cleaning lint traps.
• Identify stained or damaged items and decide whether to repair, rewash, spot‑treat or discard.
• Inspect cleaned articles, fold them to designated sizes by hand or using a folding machine, and place them in clean linen carts.
• Maintain accurate records of all items laundered and follow safety and security policies.
• Perform routine cleaning of dryer screens, dry‑cleaning filters and drain traps after each load.

Required profile

• No high school diploma or GED required; no prior laundry experience needed.
• Ability to stand, walk or sit for extended periods and lift objects up to 25 lb without assistance.
• Comfort working in narrow, confined or elevated spaces and moving over uneven or slippery surfaces.

Required skills

• Operation of commercial washing, drying and dry‑cleaning machines.
• Use of folding machines and handling of laundry chemicals.
