Laundry Attendant – Abu Dhabi

About the role

The Laundry Attendant coordinates and assists the work efforts of the laundry production and dry‑cleaning areas of the laundry department at The St. Regis Abu Dhabi. This role oversees productivity of guest laundry and uniforms, conducts weekly inventories, and supports the overall guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and log guest laundry, reporting any damage or missing items to the supervisor.
• Operate the tagging machine and micros system for each guest laundry.
• Issue guest laundry to the butler and sort dried linens according to type.
• Fold and place items in the appropriate storage areas.
• Sort torn and stained room linens and food‑and‑beverage linen, and count linens to verify quantities on laundry requisitions.
• Soak contaminated articles and process them in a de‑staining cycle.
• Load laundry items into washers, select the appropriate program, and operate dryers and ironers as required.
• Clean lint traps and sweep the laundry room regularly.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years of related work experience in laundry or housekeeping.
• No high school diploma or GED required.

Required skills

• Operation of tagging machines for guest laundry.
• Use of the micros system for laundry tracking.
• Operation of laundry machinery including washers, dryers, and ironers.
