Laundry Attendant

About the role

The Laundry Attendant ensures exceptional garment‑care services for guests at the Waldorf Astoria Dubai International Financial Centre, supporting overall guest satisfaction and upholding Forbes Five‑Star standards.

Key responsibilities

• Support the laundry function to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
• Complete wash cycles including sorting, processing, folding and proper storage of linen.
• Provide pressing, sewing, laundry and other garment‑care services to guests.
• Manage guest requests in line with brand standards and one‑call delivery expectations.
• Greet and assist guests in a warm, friendly and professional manner.
• Handle soiled and damaged linen correctly, store in soiled bags and dispose appropriately.
• Maintain and organise the linen room and uniform store, ensuring adequate stock levels.
• Use and store laundry chemicals safely according to hotel standards.
• Report maintenance issues, hazards or safety concerns promptly.
• Comply with hotel security procedures, fire regulations and health‑and‑safety legislation.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a laundry attendant in a luxury hotel.
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Proactive, solution‑oriented approach.
• Commitment to delivering exceptional guest service.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Positive attitude and collaborative team‑oriented mindset.

Required skills

• Operation of laundry equipment and garment‑care techniques such as pressing, sewing and folding.
• Safe handling and storage of laundry chemicals.
• Knowledge of Forbes Five‑Star service standards (advantageous).
