Laundry Shift Leader

About the role

The Laundry Shift Leader supervises the day‑to‑day operations of the hotel’s laundry and uniform rooms, ensuring high‑quality guest laundry, safe working conditions and efficient use of equipment. This role reports to the Laundry Supervisor and works closely with housekeeping and front‑desk teams.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations of laundry and uniform rooms, including staff scheduling and rotation.
• Inspect processed guest laundry and dry‑cleaning for quality and compliance with standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper maintenance of all laundry equipment and areas.
• Ensure safety, fire regulations and hazard elimination for all personnel.
• Manage chemical stock levels and oversee proper use of washing formulas.
• Record daily production data and post laundry charges to the Micros POS system.

Required profile

• Proven ability to lead a team, monitor performance and provide on‑the‑job training.
• Strong focus on safety, hygiene standards and emergency response procedures.

Required skills

• Experience with the Micros point‑of‑sale system for posting charges.
• Competence in operating and maintaining commercial laundry equipment.
