Laundry Shift Leader

About the role

JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Dubai, a 5-star hotel in downtown Dubai, is looking for a Laundry Shift Leader. The role supervises the day-to-day operation of the laundry and uniform room sections, checks the quality of guest laundry and dry cleaning, and trains and rotates staff.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the day-to-day operation of the laundry and uniform room sections
• Check the quality of processed guest laundry and dry cleaning work
• Keep the laundry and uniform room areas and equipment clean and well maintained
• Ensure staff follow proper washing formulas, methods and procedures
• Eliminate work hazards and check safety and fire regulations
• Rotate staff across sections and train new employees and provide on-the-job training
• Record daily production reports for the monthly report and keep an adequate stock of chemicals
• Post laundry charges to Micros and handle guest and staff calls professionally
• Respond to emergencies and perform any other duties assigned by the Laundry Supervisor
