Laundry Supervisor

About the role

The Laundry Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily laundry operations within the hotel, ensuring guest laundry, linen, and uniforms are processed accurately and on time. This role maintains high standards of hygiene, equipment use, and chemical handling while coordinating closely with Housekeeping and other departments.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily laundry activities, including washing, drying, pressing, folding and finishing.
• Inspect linen and uniforms for cleanliness, stains, damage and overall quality.
• Allocate duties, monitor team performance and productivity, and provide coaching as needed.
• Ensure proper use, cleaning and basic maintenance of laundry equipment.
• Manage laundry chemicals, supplies and linen inventory to minimise waste.
• Maintain health, safety and chemical handling standards.
• Report equipment breakdowns, linen shortages, damages and operational issues to management.
• Ensure compliance with hotel SOPs and brand standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a hotel laundry operation, preferably in a supervisory role.
• Good knowledge of laundry equipment, chemicals, linen handling and finishing processes.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage a diverse team.
• Previous experience with an international hotel brand is preferred.
