Lead Aircraft Mechanic – Base Heavy Maintenance

About the role

Emirates Engineering is seeking a Lead Aircraft Mechanic to join its Base Heavy Maintenance team in Dubai. You will oversee maintenance activities on Emirates and third‑party aircraft, ensuring safety, compliance and on‑time delivery of inspections and repairs.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine servicing and component replacement according to Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM) and Illustrated Parts Catalogue (IPC) procedures.
• Lead A & C checks, engine changes, landing‑gear changes and unscheduled maintenance for Airbus A380, A350 and Boeing 777 fleets.
• Utilise specialised tooling and test equipment to verify system integrity and serviceability.
• Coordinate with Licensed Engineers and other technical teams to resolve technical issues and communicate aircraft status.
• Support Emirates Flight Training Academy (EFTA) operations, including AOG recovery and line‑maintenance support.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an aircraft mechanic with leadership responsibilities.
• Ability to read and interpret AMM, IPC and other approved documentation.
• Strong safety awareness and adherence to company and regulatory procedures.
• Effective communication skills for liaison with engineering, operations and maintenance teams.
