Lead Architect – Large‑Scale Projects

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Lead Architect to drive architectural design coordination and site supervision for large‑scale building projects across the UAE. You will ensure the architectural intent is preserved from concept through construction, working closely with clients, consultants, contractors and authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead architectural design review and technical coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
• Supervise on‑site architectural works, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications and contract requirements.
• Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, RFIs, method statements and mock‑ups.
• Conduct regular site inspections, prepare observation reports and monitor construction progress against schedule.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to resolve technical issues and ensure adherence to UAE building codes, authority regulations and health & safety standards.
• Lead QA/QC activities, manage snagging, de‑snagging and handover processes.
• Mentor junior architects and supervision staff, and contribute to design changes, value engineering and problem solving.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture; professional registration preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of architectural experience, including construction supervision on projects > USD 100 M.
• Proven experience with large‑scale mixed‑use, commercial, hospitality, residential, aviation, healthcare or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of architectural detailing, building materials, construction methodologies and UAE regulations.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing contractor performance.
