Lead Commissioning Engineer - E&I

About the role

KBR is expanding its Project Management Consultancy team for a high‑profile offshore development in Abu Dhabi. The Lead Commissioning Engineer – E&I will oversee pre‑commissioning, commissioning, start‑up and performance testing for offshore oil & gas facilities under the ADNOC Offshore LTDP Project.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the overall commissioning strategy, schedules and readiness reviews.
• Lead commissioning of process, utility, electrical power distribution, HV/LV switchgear, DCS, ESD, F&G, instrumentation & control, and telecom systems.
• Coordinate offshore commissioning activities with construction, engineering, operations and vendors.
• Supervise offshore commissioning teams, manage Mechanical Completion, Ready for Commissioning, Ready for Start‑Up and handover processes.
• Support troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis and performance verification during start‑up.

Required profile

• Proven experience in leading commissioning of offshore oil & gas facilities.
• Strong knowledge of ADNOC standards and offshore safety requirements.
• Ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and interface with EPC contractors, OEMs and subcontractors.
