Lead Cybersecurity – IoT

About the role

TAQA Distribution is seeking a Lead Cybersecurity professional to design, implement and continuously improve security controls for its Internet of Things (IoT) environments. The role safeguards connected utility assets such as smart meters, Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) and field sensors, ensuring resilient and compliant operation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the deployment of cybersecurity controls across IoT devices, platforms and gateways.
• Secure integration points between IoT systems and enterprise IT (ERP, GIS, EAM, cloud).
• Conduct risk and vulnerability assessments for IoT networks and coordinate remediation.
• Support compliance monitoring against NIST IoT Security Framework, IEC 62443, ISO 27001 and UAE IA/NESA standards.
• Prepare and deliver periodic management and progress reports.
• Maintain policy, procedure and process alignment with group delegation of authority.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading IoT security programs in a utility or energy environment.
• Strong knowledge of industry security standards and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to manage cross‑functional teams and communicate security posture to senior management.
