Lead Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer

About the role

The Lead Electrical & Instrument Engineer will oversee the engineering of E‑houses and process modules for offshore and onshore oil‑and‑gas projects. The role requires deep technical knowledge, strong leadership and project‑management capabilities to ensure compliance with international standards and classification society rules.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret and manage technical requirements for E‑houses and process modules, ensuring adherence to IEC, NEC, NFPA and class society standards (DNV, ABS, BV).
• Prepare E&I design bases, review complex calculations, and verify equipment selection for hazardous areas.
• Lead, mentor and schedule a team of engineers, designers and drafters, monitoring engineering hours and resources.
• Prepare detailed RFQs, conduct technical bid evaluations, and manage variations and variation orders.
• Handle RFIs, attend progress meetings and cascade critical information to the engineering team.
• Provide hands‑on support during bid evaluations, yard construction, FAT and SAT activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of E&I engineering experience in the oil & gas sector.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong knowledge of oil & gas plants, substations, E‑houses, process modules and FPSO functionality.
