Lead Interior Designer – Kitchens, Wardrobes & Joinery

About the role

A client of Agile Consultants is looking for an experienced Lead Interior Designer who specialises in kitchens, wardrobes and custom joinery for its furniture manufacturing operations in KEZAD, Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate manages design projects from client consultation and site surveys through design development, technical drawings, production coordination and final quality inspection. Previous UAE experience in interior fit-out and construction is mandatory.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct client consultations to understand design requirements, preferences and project specifications.
• Perform site surveys and take accurate measurements for kitchens, wardrobes and custom joinery.
• Develop functional and aesthetically appealing designs for kitchens, wardrobes and bespoke joinery.
• Prepare detailed 2D shop drawings, technical layouts and 3D designs and renderings.
• Revise drawings and design proposals based on client feedback.
• Select materials, finishes, hardware and accessories according to design specifications.
• Coordinate with estimators, production teams and project managers, and monitor factory production against approved drawings.
• Carry out final inspections to ensure products meet approved designs and quality standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture (B.Arch), B.Tech or a related discipline.
• Previous UAE experience in interior fit-out and construction is mandatory.
• Proven experience designing kitchens, wardrobes and custom joinery.
• Ability to submit a design portfolio showing relevant kitchen, wardrobe and joinery projects.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D design and rendering software.
• Strong knowledge of technical shop drawings, materials, finishes, hardware and joinery production processes.
• Ability to take measurements and prepare accurate technical drawings.
• Experience coordinating with estimators, factory production teams and project managers.

The advertised salary is AED 4,000 - 7,000, and the role comes with company accommodation and transportation.
