Lead MEP Engineer (Electrical, HVAC & Plumbing – Design, Calculations & Drawings)

About the role

Lead the complete electrical, HVAC and plumbing design for vertical farms, PV‑integrated greenhouses, AI data rooms and industrial facilities. The role is hands‑on, covering calculations, cost estimates and MEP drawings from concept through authority approval, tender, construction and commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Design LV power distribution, perform load calculations, cable sizing, short‑circuit studies and coordinate ELV systems.
• Perform cooling and heat load calculations, psychrometric analysis, select chillers, AHUs, VRF, dehumidifiers and define control sequences.
• Design water supply, drainage, irrigation, fertigation and chilled‑water piping systems, ensuring compliance with local codes.
• Prepare complete calculation packages, load and equipment schedules, BOQs, cost estimates and technical specifications.
• Produce AutoCAD and Revit MEP drawings, run clash detection, coordinate with architecture and structural teams, and manage authority submissions.
• Lead MEP design strategy, review contractor submittals, witness testing, commissioning and handover documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (Master’s a plus); 8+ years MEP design experience with at least 3 years in a lead role.
• Proven delivery of full MEP packages for industrial, agricultural or data‑center facilities; experience with UAE authority approvals preferred.
• Based in Dubai or willing to relocate; valid UAE driving licence preferred.

Required skills

• AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Navisworks.
• Electrical design software (ETAP, Amtech or Ecodial) and lighting design (DIALux).
• Carrier HAP or Trane TRACE for HVAC calculations.
• Advanced MS Excel, quantity take‑off, BOQ preparation and cost estimation.
