Lead Piping Engineer – Offshore Island Project

About the role

The Lead Piping Engineer will head all piping engineering and design activities for ADNOC offshore projects, ensuring safe, reliable and cost‑effective piping systems across the full project life‑cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead piping engineering and layout activities for offshore oil and gas projects.
• Manage and supervise a team of piping engineers, designers and draftsmen.
• Develop and review piping design philosophies, specifications and drawings.
• Coordinate stress analysis, dynamic, seismic and thermal expansion studies.
• Ensure compliance with ADNOC standards, international codes and HSE requirements.
• Provide engineering support during fabrication, construction, offshore installation and commissioning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent; Master’s preferred.
• 18–20 years of oil & gas engineering experience, including 8–10 years in a lead piping engineer role.
• Extensive experience with ADNOC offshore projects and major EPC contractors.
• Proven experience in FEED, detailed design, EPC, brownfield and greenfield developments.

Required skills

• Piping design and layout (GA drawings, isometric drawings, material take‑offs).
• Stress analysis, dynamic, seismic and thermal expansion studies.
• HAZOP and HAZID studies.
• Material and valve selection for carbon steel, stainless steel, duplex and GRP systems.
• Technical bid evaluation and vendor coordination.
