Lead Planning and Cost Engineer – Offshore Subsea Project

About the role

KBR is expanding its Project Management Consultancy team for a high‑profile offshore development in Abu Dhabi. The Lead Planning and Cost Engineer will be based in the client or contractor office and will own the planning, cost control and reporting for ADNOC offshore projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain integrated Level 1‑4 schedules in Primavera P6 covering engineering, procurement, construction, offshore hook‑up, commissioning and start‑up.
• Establish baselines, perform CPM analysis, monitor schedule performance and lead recovery planning.
• Create and manage cost control systems, budgets, cost breakdown structures and perform variance analysis, forecasts (EAC/ETC) and change order impact assessments.
• Produce weekly/monthly progress reports, S‑curves, manpower histograms, productivity and earned‑value analyses for management and client review.
• Conduct schedule risk assessments, support claims and extension‑of‑time analysis, and coordinate with ADNOC offshore representatives, EPC contractors and subcontractors.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of project controls, planning and cost engineering experience, with at least 5 years in a lead role on offshore oil & gas projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical Engineering or related field; Master’s degree and PMP/PSP/CCP certifications are a plus.
• Proven experience on ADNOC offshore, Saudi Aramco, QatarEnergy or similar large EPC projects.

Required skills

• Expert knowledge of Primavera P6.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Project, Excel and Power BI.
• Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and schedule risk analysis tools such as Pertmaster or Primavera Risk Analysis.
