Lead Planning Engineer – PMC

About the role

KBR is seeking an experienced Lead Planning Engineer – PMC to join its Abu Dhabi team. The role oversees project planning, scheduling, cost control and risk management for large‑scale on‑shore EPC projects, ensuring delivery aligns with ADNOC standards and international best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6, MS Project or similar tools, monitor progress and recommend corrective actions.
• Track project budgets, commitments and forecasts; prepare cost reports, cash‑flow forecasts and earned‑value analyses.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, generate KPIs and dashboards for management review.
• Identify, assess and maintain project risk registers; support mitigation planning and implementation.
• Analyze manpower, equipment and material requirements; monitor resource utilization and optimize allocation.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors and clients; participate in review meetings and provide performance insights.
• Maintain project control records, ensure compliance with company policies, contractual requirements and support audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as PMP, PMI‑SP, CCP or equivalent are advantageous.
• 18+ years of experience in project controls, planning, scheduling or cost control, preferably in construction, oil & gas, energy, infrastructure or industrial projects.
• Proven experience using project management and scheduling software.
