Lead Project Engineer – Customer Project Engineering

About the role

The Control Systems Lead Project Engineer will be the single point of contact for engineering on customer projects, developing and implementing custom control solutions for turbines, generators, compressors and plant controls. You will work alongside senior engineers, supporting design, manufacturing, and commissioning at both domestic and international sites.

Key responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for retrofit control systems, ensuring on‑time delivery, CTQ compliance and quality.
• Lead project teams to meet KPIs, manage engineering hours budgets and milestone schedules.
• Review contracts and specifications, co‑lead technical design reviews and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Support customers, suppliers and internal teams during meetings, factory acceptance testing, installation and commissioning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (or Master’s with 6 years experience) and minimum 8 years experience with turbine‑generator control systems.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a matrix environment and to resolve technical issues in power plant operations.

Required skills

• Electrical and mechanical control systems for gas and steam turbines.
• Experience with MarkV, MarkVI, MarkVIe, EX2100e platforms.
• Familiarity with GE HMIs, networking, cyber solutions and ControlST software.
• Knowledge of MODBUS, OPC and IEC communication protocols.
• Lean Green Belt certification or similar lean training.
