Lead Project Engineer – Risk Management (MEAC)

About the role

The Lead Project Engineer (Risk Management) for the MEAC region will provide specialist risk management support across the Middle East, Africa and Caspian area. Reporting to the Head of Risk – MEAC, you will work on high‑profile energy projects that span upstream, midstream, onshore and offshore domains.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain risk registers and mitigation plans for complex oil and gas projects.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to identify, assess and monitor project risks.
• Prepare risk analysis reports and present findings to senior stakeholders.
• Support the implementation of risk‑based decision‑making processes across the MEAC portfolio.
• Ensure compliance with company risk policies and regional regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in risk management within the energy sector.
• Strong understanding of project engineering principles and large‑scale project delivery.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to influence senior leadership.
• Willingness to work on-site in Abu Dhabi and travel within the MEAC region as needed.
