Lead Project Engineer – Risk Management (MEAC)

About the role

The Lead Project Engineer (Risk Management) – MEAC will provide specialist risk management support across the Middle East, Africa and Caspian region, reporting directly to the Head of Risk – MEAC. You will support major projects and bids, helping teams identify, assess and manage uncertainty throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain Project Risk Management Plans in line with company standards and client requirements.
• Facilitate risk workshops, structured brainstorming sessions and maintain comprehensive risk registers for projects and bids.
• Develop, coordinate and monitor risk mitigation and contingency plans with designated risk owners.
• Track risks and opportunities, prepare risk reports, dashboards, heat maps and key risk indicators for stakeholders.
• Support Cost Risk Analysis (CRA) and Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA) and assist with quantitative risk modelling, including Monte Carlo simulation.
• Coordinate risk activities across engineering, procurement, construction, commercial and HSE functions and ensure compliance with corporate risk frameworks.

Required profile

• Proven experience solving engineering or construction delivery challenges on complex, large‑scale projects.
• Strong analytical mindset, comfortable questioning assumptions and evaluating uncertainties.
• Solid understanding of project risk management processes and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder coordination and risk reporting.
