Lead Project Manager

About the role

Wasael Property Management is looking for a Lead Project Manager in Abu Dhabi to lead and manage the end-to-end delivery of major projects. The role ensures successful execution in line with approved scope, budget, programme, quality standards and organisational objectives, while managing project teams, consultants, contractors and key stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, monitoring and delivery of projects from initiation through completion and handover.
• Develop and manage project plans, programmes, budgets, milestones, resources and delivery strategies.
• Ensure projects meet scope, budget, schedule, quality and contractual requirements.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate Design, Technical, Commercial, Procurement, Construction and HSE functions.
• Manage consultants, contractors and subcontractors, monitor progress against milestones and KPIs, and run recovery or mitigation plans.
• Identify and manage risks, issues, dependencies and constraints.
• Oversee budgets, forecasts, expenditure, variations and financial performance with the Commercial team; manage change control.
• Chair progress, coordination and stakeholder meetings and maintain relationships with clients, authorities and partners.
• Review project reports, schedules, technical submissions and commercial matters, and report performance to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with contracts, regulations, HSE standards and quality requirements, and oversee testing, commissioning, handover, close-out and lessons learned.
• Mentor Project Managers and other team members.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Architecture or a related discipline.
• Minimum 12-15 years of relevant project management experience, including large-scale, complex projects.
• Strong experience in real estate development, construction, infrastructure or major projects.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams, consultants, contractors and multiple workstreams.
• Experience engaging with senior management, clients, authorities, consultants and contractors.
• PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent certification preferred.
