Lead Quality Assurance Engineer (Emiratisation)

About the role

Emirates is seeking a Lead Quality Assurance Engineer to drive quality engineering practices across its diverse software portfolio. The role will lead testing efforts within an agile release train, ensuring high‑quality, reliable solutions for the airline’s global operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement quality engineering processes and automation frameworks for UI and API testing.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects and developers to translate functional and non‑functional requirements into robust end‑to‑end test scenarios.
• Configure test tools, collect metrics and maintain dashboards for program‑wide visibility.
• Guide software engineers in writing automated functional tests and integrate them into CI pipelines.
• Coordinate cross‑team testing activities and ensure quality gate criteria are met before release.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years experience building large‑scale test data frameworks and automation solutions.
• 3+ years using automation tools such as Selenium, Postman, Protractor, Jasmine, Cucumber/Gherkin, JUnit or TestNG.
• Proficiency in at least two programming languages, preferably JavaScript and Java.
• Hands‑on experience with Git, GitHub or Bitbucket and CI tools like Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
