Lead Quality Assurance Engineer – Mobile Applications

About the role

Emirates is seeking a Lead Quality Assurance Engineer to shape testing practices for its mobile applications. You will guide a team within an agile release train, ensuring high‑quality, reliable products that support the airline’s global operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement QA processes and automation frameworks for iOS and Android apps.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects and engineers to translate functional and non‑functional requirements into end‑to‑end tests.
• Configure test tools, collect metrics and feed enterprise‑wide dashboards.
• Mentor QA engineers, promote shift‑left and shift‑right testing, and support major delivery initiatives across domains.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in quality engineering for complex, scalable software solutions.
• Proven leadership in mentoring QA engineers and establishing automation best practices.

Required skills

• Mobile testing expertise (iOS XCUITest, Android Jetpack Compose, snapshot testing).
• Proficiency in Swift, Kotlin; working knowledge of Java, Python, JavaScript.
• AI‑assisted testing, accessibility testing (WCAG, VoiceOver, TalkBack).
• API automation (Postman, REST‑assured, Pact), CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and mobile device farms (Sauce Labs).
• HTML, CSS, design‑system tools such as Figma.
