Lead Software Engineer (Full Stack)

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Lead Software Engineer to drive the design, development, and maintenance of high‑performance full‑stack applications. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate business requirements into robust, scalable solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, code, and maintain medium to large product features/modules within an agile feature team.
• Contribute to user stories and product refinement alongside product owners and managers.
• Partner with architects and senior engineers to analyse technical requirements and produce low‑level designs.
• Write secure, optimized code following client coding standards and non‑functional requirements.
• Work closely with testers and product owners to ensure story acceptance before sprint closure.
• Demo completed stories to business and IT stakeholders.
• Incorporate feedback from retrospectives and continuously improve code quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• 9+ years of software engineering experience, preferably in agile environments.
• Proficiency with collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Miro, and Mural.
• Strong understanding of modern integration patterns (event‑driven, API‑led, microservices).
• Knowledge of domain‑driven design and experience building microservices.
• Solid grasp of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and security/data standards.
• Excellent analytical, technical design, and troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience in enterprise or start‑up settings and ability to mentor junior engineers.
