Lead – Staff Accommodation Authority

About the role

The Lead – Staff Accommodation Authority will drive operational excellence, compliance and regulatory maturity across staff accommodation facilities in the UAE. The role is responsible for developing, reviewing and implementing standards, inspection and audit frameworks, licensing manuals and classification systems to ensure all accommodation categories meet regulatory requirements and best‑practice standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, update and maintain operational and design standards for all staff accommodation categories, aligning them with UAE regulations and international best practices.
• Conduct benchmarking studies to identify emerging trends in accommodation management, worker welfare and facility operations.
• Design and enhance inspection checklists, audit frameworks and compliance assessment tools, including pre‑occupancy protocols and certification requirements.
• Lead the creation of category‑based licensing manuals and a Star Rating Classification Manual, defining criteria, scoring systems and accreditation processes.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to validate standards, provide guidance and drive continuous improvement.
• Support periodic audits, identify gaps and risks, and recommend corrective actions to maintain high performance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in accommodation management, regulatory compliance or standards development, preferably within the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of UAE accommodation regulations and international best‑practice frameworks.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional projects and work with diverse stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical and documentation skills for creating manuals, guidelines and audit tools.
