Lead Static Engineer

About the role

Worley is seeking a Lead Static Engineer to head all static equipment engineering activities across FEED, EPC and detailed engineering phases for major oil & gas and petrochemical projects in Abu Dhabi.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design, specification and procurement of static equipment such as pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks, separators, filters, reactors and package units.
• Develop and review datasheets, specifications, material requisitions, technical bid evaluations and vendor documentation ensuring compliance with ADNOC standards and international codes (ASME, API, TEMA, ASTM).
• Coordinate with process, piping, mechanical, civil, electrical, instrumentation and procurement disciplines to integrate static equipment requirements.
• Review and approve vendor drawings, calculations, manufacturing procedures and inspection plans, and support constructability reviews, value engineering and cost optimisation.
• Mentor and supervise a team of specialists, senior engineers and engineers, and interface with clients, licensors, suppliers and project stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent.
• 15+ years of relevant experience in oil & gas or petrochemical industry, including at least 5 years in the GCC region.
• Minimum 5 years in a similar leadership role on major projects, with FEED and EPC experience.
• Experience with ADNOC and offshore projects preferred; PMC experience desirable.

Required skills

• Static equipment design (pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks, separators, filters, reactors, package equipment).
• Knowledge of ASME Section VIII, API 650, API 620, API 661, API 660, TEMA, NACE standards.
• Technical bid evaluation, vendor management and fabrication oversight.
• FEED and EPC phase execution.
