Lead Systems Specialist - Industrial Refrigeration

About the role

Johnson Controls is seeking a Lead Systems Specialist to support industrial refrigeration projects across the Middle East and Africa. The role spans pre‑sales, detailed engineering, commissioning, and retrofit activities, ensuring technically sound and commercially balanced solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Review tender documents, provide technical clarifications, and conduct site surveys.
• Prepare refrigeration load calculations, system concepts, equipment selections, cost estimates, and quotation texts.
• Develop process flow diagrams, initial layouts, technical submittals, and design briefs with CAD support.
• Lead detailed engineering, review drawings, specifications, and documentation for execution.
• Support start‑up, commissioning, troubleshooting, handover, and retrofit or upgrade projects.
• Coordinate with sales, operations, procurement, and supply chain to meet customer needs and project financial targets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience.
• At least five years of experience designing industrial or large commercial refrigeration systems.
• Strong knowledge of refrigeration design principles, equipment selection, and system concept development.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and good English communication.
