Lead Unreal Engine Developer – Digital Twin

About the role

We are looking for a Lead Unreal Engine Developer to head the creation of a real‑time Digital Twin for a large‑scale interior/exterior environment. Based in Dubai, you will drive the technical vision in Unreal Engine, ensuring smooth performance while integrating live telemetry from thousands of sensors.

Key responsibilities

• Own the Unreal Engine codebase, including architecture, C++ modules, Blueprint standards and plugin strategy.
• Lead development of interactive twin features such as navigation, level‑of‑detail, zone isolation, asset selection and live status overlays.
• Optimize performance: manage draw calls, tune Nanite/Lumen, handle streaming, memory budgets and achieve target frame rates on the delivery hardware.
• Implement Pixel Streaming and multi‑display (nDisplay) command‑center outputs as required.
• Build the runtime data‑binding layer that maps live sensor and system data to 3D assets via REST, WebSocket, MQTT or custom plugins.
• Mentor junior Unreal developers, conduct code reviews and define the “definition of done” for 3D features.

Required profile

• 6+ years of professional experience with Unreal Engine (UE4/UE5) and strong production‑grade C++ and Blueprint expertise.
• Proven track record delivering large‑scale, performance‑critical real‑time 3D applications.
• Solid understanding of the rendering pipeline, profiling tools (Unreal Insights, GPU Profiler) and optimisation techniques.
• Experience integrating external data sources into Unreal via REST, WebSocket, MQTT or custom plugins.
• Comfortable leading a small technical team and making architectural decisions.
